Services

Four ways I can help.

Every assignment is led by me personally, full-time or part-time, for a few months or several years.

01 / 04

Interim IT director / CIO

When the IT function needs a leader, now.

I take responsibility for the IT department during a vacancy, a transition or a turnaround, and make sure my successor finds a stable organisation.

  • Day-to-day leadership of the IT team and budget
  • Vendor and contract management
  • A seat at the management or board table
  • Recruitment and onboarding of the permanent successor
Background: IT Director Benelux and Group IT Director, board member 2019–2023.
02 / 04

Programme recovery

When an ERP or SAP programme has lost its way.

I make a realistic new plan, win back the stakeholders and re-mobilise the team.

  • Independent review within weeks
  • New planning, deliverables and governance
  • Firm agreements with suppliers
  • A team that believes in the programme again
Example: phase 2 of a ticket-sales programme on SAP and SAP CRM, re-planned and re-mobilised.
03 / 04

Programme management for SAP & ERP

When a programme has to land across entities and countries.

I lead the programme end to end, from design and planning to cutover and the first months in production.

  • Template design and roll-out
  • Release upgrades and migrations
  • Steering committee and PMO
  • Cutover and hypercare
Example: SAP template development and roll-out to 10 countries for a European oil & gas group.

Building IT delivery organisations

When IT has to be rebuilt, merged or brought back in-house.

I design and build the organisation, hire the people and set up delivery that keeps working after I leave.

  • Operating model and processes (ASL / BISL)
  • Agile, Scrum and DevOps delivery
  • Balance between internal staff and offshore partners
  • Recruitment and team development
Result: 20% lower department cost for applications and 30% lower delivery cost for digital.
How I work

Clear from the first week.

Every assignment follows the same four steps. The pace depends on the situation; the order doesn't.

01

Listen

Two to three weeks of conversations, documents and a look at the landscape. You get an honest picture of where things stand.

02

Plan

A realistic plan with clear deliverables, owners and governance, agreed with the board and the team.

03

Deliver

Hands-on leadership of the team, vendors and risks, with short reporting lines and no surprises.

04

Hand over

The organisation runs it without me. Knowledge, processes and people are in place before I leave.

Working together

Three ways to work together.

From a few weeks of independent advice to a multi-year leadership role. We agree the form that fits the situation in the first conversation.

Interim

Interim IT leadership

I take a line role, such as IT director or head of applications, for a fixed period. Full-time or part-time, with a clear handover to a permanent successor.

Programme

Programme leadership

I am accountable for one programme, from plan and governance to cutover and handover to the line organisation.

Advice

Independent review

A short assignment of a few weeks: an outside view on a programme, an IT organisation or a vendor proposal, with written advice for the board.

Let's talk

Let's start with a conversation.

Tell me where you stand and what needs to happen. Within an hour we'll both know whether I'm the right person for it.
